Cynthia Mueller brings solid experience and practical know-how to her real estate career. Growing up in Chicago, she developed an early appreciation for construction and design, often visiting job sites with her builder and electrician father. This led her to “flip” her first condo at the age of 24 –  a venture she undertook organically rather than strategically at the time –  driven by a love of painting, demolition, and redesign. Later, she owned a spa and honed her customer support and organizational skills, which undoubtedly shaped her approach to client relationships.

“I wasn’t sure I could be an agent or be successful at it; I had been a small business owner and knew I could do that,” she acknowledges. “So I thought, ‘let’s see’. For me, achieving that and realizing I really wanted to do it was all about community. I just had to have the right people around me – and fortunately I did.”

After a period working as a real estate agent in Arizona, Cynthia and her family relocated to Marion County, Florida, drawn by the World Equestrian Center and a desire for a slower pace of life. The family’s passion for horses, with her daughter deeply involved in eventing and polo, was a key factor in their move. Cynthia also likes Marion County’s commitment to supporting land preservation and sustainable agriculture.

“I love that this community preserves the land here and shows that in the conservation and educational efforts. It’s so important to the area and the horse industry, both of which are values I share.”

The slower pace and vibrant community were also just as appealing, with Ocala’s thriving arts scene and golf culture, economic planning and infrastructure. It offered a diverse and interesting new perspective for herself and her family, and she immediately knew it was the right place for her.

Her interest in Showcase was significantly influenced by its visible, active involvement in the community; she frequently saw the company’s presence at events, and “It caught my attention,” she says.  After speaking with a respected colleague and meeting Valerie at a function, her decision to join the team was confirmed.

“I like being with a company that’s sincerely interested in where they live and the people they live with; it’s really important to be dialed in to what’s going on and actively engaged,” she says. “The team here is very much involved and gets out into the community, and that’s how I operate, too.”
