Now a $30 billion company, Chewy employs 17,000 people nationwide and more than 3,000 of their employees are in Florida. According to Chewy CEO Sumit Singh, “Florida remains Chewy’s home base.” Currently hiring managers and fulfillment specialists in Ocala, Chewy is just one place you can look for employment when moving to Florida.
Amazon
If you’re looking to spend the winter in Florida and need seasonal work, look no further than Amazon. The Christmas delivery rush is upon us and the company is hiring 100,000 workers across the country to help deliver the gifts and packages. 5,200 of those new hires will be in Florida, according to ClickOrlando.com. Amazon has been purchasing industrial space in Orlando and throughout Central Florida, so you can expect to see more Amazon distribution jobs in the future. Dollar Tree
A brick and mortar retail chain, Dollar Tree has grown this year despite the effects of COVID on the US economy. The Dollar Tree brand encompasses two chains of discount variety stores, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. The company operates more than 15,000 stores and employs over 193,000 sales associates. Dollar Tree even plans to build a new distribution center in Marion County. Currently hiring in both Ocala and the surrounding area, a job with Dollar Tree might be just what you need to transition to your new life in Florida.
FedEx
A global company, FedEx operates in the transportation, e-commerce, and business sectors. In order to meet the increased demand for their products, the company is planning to hire more than 20,000 new employees. Positions include delivery drivers, parts sales managers, and full and part-time sales associates. If you’re looking to relocate to Ocala, you’re in luck. Ocala is home to an AutoZone distribution center and you’ll find plenty of job openings in a variety of positions.
