Mark Koper was born and raised in historic Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Citrus County, Florida in 1988. He’s considered himself a Floridian ever since. He attended Citrus High School and initially considered following in his Polish-born father’s footsteps to join the US military, but ultimately chose to pursue a career in graphic design and photography.

Mark studied commercial arts at the College of Central Florida and later transferred to the International Academy of Design Technology in Tampa. After graduating, worked as an intern at Lamar Advertising and began a career as a graphic designer in manufacturing for 8 years – where he learned valuable skills in promotional imaging and technology.

He developed an independent career in real estate photography when he met Valerie Dailey, and soon began shooting for Showcase regularly, handling property images, video footage and editing. After several years of working in the industry and gaining valuable experience, he decided to get his real estate license.

“People ask me for advice about how to market and sell their homes, and I’ve built a lot of knowledge and understanding through shooting so many homes and absorbing other agents’ expertise,” he says.

Mark’s artistic mindset and insight – particularly with custom homes and farms – combined with his lifelong familiarity with the region, enables him to understand the special qualities of a property with simplicity and clarity. He’s a valuable asset and enormous resource to our team, with a professionalism and work ethic that will make him even more of a success in his role as an agent.

“I’ll ask a seller, ‘What do you love about this place? What makes it memorable or unique?” He says. “Every home has something special. Whatever their answer is, that’s what I know should be emphasized and highlighted.”
